Come Bowl for Pets
January 17, 2009
And if you like the great outdoors or love bowling, then join us on January 17 for a game or two of Frozen Turkey Bowling! Pat & Chrissy's Pub in Mosinee are sponsoring this COOL event and all the proceeds will be donated to the Humane Society.
They are looking for volunteers to work the lanes outside and all the HOT raffles inside. Area business have provided some excellent raffle prizes: a Packer jacket, leather briefcase, dinner, hotel stays and a catering package for 20 people, just to name a few!
The cost is just $5.00 per person with a pet supply donation or $6.00 without. If you are interested in helping out the great folks that are putting on this event, please contact Pat & Chrissy at the 153 Pub (715) 693-8100 or Sherry at (715) 693-4323, and of course you may always contact the volunteer coordinator Terry at the Humane Society (715) 845-2810.
Winter Pet Tips
January 5, 2009
It's winter. That means time to provide extra care for your pets, especially those living outside.
Outdoor Pets: SHELTER - need a building or dry doghouse. Straw provides extra warmth. WATER - required to prevent dehydration. Heated bowls prevent ice buildup. FOOD - Feed a high quality food - extra calories are required to maintain body temperature.
BRING ALL PETS INTO THE HOUSE WHEN TEMPERATURES OR WIND CHILL DROP BELOW ZERO.
