Merry Christmas to my friends at the Shelter:
Hi, Remember me? I'm Charlie and was adopted out by Fred and Carol Johsnton. Well! Let me tell you about the last couple of months of MY life. First off, my bladder problem-infection is finally gone and I feel somuch better now. My ears are just chronically dirty and yeasty, so "Mom" washes them out for me a couple times a week. I've gotten really good at schrunching my ears down so she has to work to get the drops in. It's fun watching her trying to do it by herself! I am one big, loveable boy. I get to sleep at the top of the bed every night on a pillow and I like it very much. It's nice and warm and I laugh when I snore rather loudly and wake Mom and Dad up.
My Mom always tells me everybody has a mission in life and it was shortly after I was adopted that MY purpose was outlined for me. Grandma (my Mom's mother) is elderly and lives alone. She LOVES me...what can I say. She has some health problems and doesn't get out much. I got to stay with her in October when my folks went out of town for a week. Well, she loved me so much and we had so much fun she didn't want to give me back! Mom then decided I could go to "Day Camp" at Grandma's house, so every morning I get in my carrier and Mom takes me the 10 blocks to Grandma's house where I spend the day basking in the sun, smelling her flowers, and most importantly napping on her lap while she rocks me. At 5 p.m. Mom comes and I go into my carrier and we go to my home where I spend the evening with Mom and Dad, napping on Mom's lap while she rocks me. Oh, by the way, did I say I am spoiled?! Anyway, I'm so happy in my new home. I have a day job that I like very much and I get a lot of tummy tickles, chin scratches and head patting to boot. What more could a guy ask for?
Thanks for taking such good care of me while I was at the shelter. I hope all my friends got adopted out to good homes. Thought you'd like a picture of me and Santa taken at Petco.
CHARLIE
